The Cruise

Its a little over-due but here are some pictures from our cruise wayyy back in June. Although it ended up not being the ideal honeymoon, it did make for some priceless memories and great stories to share.

Allison & Brandon are here!

Allison & Brandon got in to Seatac airport last Thursday and are here until Tuesday evening. So far weve visited Pikes Market, downtown Seattle, the Seattle Wholefoods and Mt. St. Helens. We (and Holly is included in this "we") climbed until we had about 500 more feet to go and then a Ranger came down and told us we had to turn around and go back down because we did not have the required climbing permit. Oh well, we still had a lot of fun and enjoyed some beautiful scenery. Pics to come later. Currently, Allison & Brandon are down in Oregon touring 8 or 9 wineries. Theyll be back tonight and then we will all enjoy some Albacore Tuna that Brandon purchased while at the Market. Who knows what we will do tomorrow but well update again soon :)

By the way, Holly climbed completely on her own 3/4 of the way up, then we put her in one of the bags and josh carried her down. How many people can say their lhasa apso climbed st. helens??? not many, im sure. But mine DID :)

Also, before we left for st. helens on friday we put in an offer on a house!!! The house is a ranch with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, two car garage and a backyard. Its in a brand new gated community and isnt completed yet (just needs some painting and cleaning up left to do). We are supposed to find out if our offer was accepted sometime today so well soon find out. Heres a picture of the house in its current condition...

One year ago...

So its been a really long time since Ive updated this thing (I dont know why it so difficult for me). Anyways, just this past weekend Josh and I celebrated our first anniversary, yay for us! The first year went by incredibly fast and I dont see the years slowing down anytime soon. Lots of things planned for the near future and we are very excited. First up, buying a house. We figure since we are going to be out here for at least another five years we might as well get a little settled.
I got a job teaching at a studio in Renton called Spotlight Dance, what a coincidence. Ive been teaching a lot in the past few weeks and I love it! The kids are great, the owner is wonderful and the studio is growing and actually moving to a larger space.... yay for job security. Ill be teaching quite a bit this fall and Im really looking forward to it.

Holly's New 'Do

Holly got her first REAL haircut today :) Much to my surprise she did really well I was told. However, since shes been spayed she has hardly let me brush her and so she had to be cut short... chihuahua short, hahaha. Heres a few pictures of the pretty girl :)

Holly is finally feeling more like herself... and possibly even more energetic than before... since her spay surgery :) I got another video of her being, well, Holly hahaha. Shes one of a kind and makes me laugh (which has been much needed lately). Anyways, I hope you get as much entertainment out of this as I do.

Holly & Stella

Whenever I go to any of the other wives houses I more often than not bring Holly along to play with their doggies. Well Holly & Stella (who belongs to my friend Sharon) seem to have hit it off very well and I could not resist recording some of their play time. I dont know where it comes from but they get non-stop energy when they are together and Sharon told me that the last time they played Stella cried by the door for almost 20 min after Holly left... BFF's :)

I just have to say how excited I am that myself, my mom and my aunts are on Day 3 of Rick Warrens The Purpose Driven Life. We started our 40 day journey this past Wednesday and already I see great experiences with God ahead of us. The best part is being able to share in this journey together and not only strengthening our bond with God but with one another :)

Josh is doing well, I spoke with him earlier tonight and he sounds well rested and not as bored as he was a few weeks ago. He was really excited tonight because hes been working out and is starting to see the rewards. I emailed him a list of addresses earlier tonight and so you may get a letter in the coming weeks. I thought it may also be a good idea to post his address here, he loves getting mail of any kind as Im sure you can expect...

Its been awhile

I guess its time to update this since its so long overdue. Although really there isnt much to tell... Im still in school, Josh is still overseas and Holly is still, we, Holly haha. I guess the most recent thing I have going on is my search for our next, and possibly final, place of residence in good old WA. Knowing that it could very well be our home for the next few years Im looking into getting a condo in the area! Which is really exciting because for me, until we get an actual HOUSE this will be our first HOME together. It will be really nice to get out of apartments and into something a little more permanent/cozy and a LOT safer. So, yeah, more to come on that.

More exciting news... I GET TO COME HOME IN TWO WEEKS :) Thanks to my wonderful parents :)
